The Osborne 1, released in April 1981 by Osborne Computer Corporation, is credited as being the first commercially available portable microcomputer.
It weighed 10.7 kilograms and featured a tiny 5-inch display screen, a 4 MHz CPU, 65 kilobytes main memory and a single-sided, single-density floppy disk drive.
