Asperger's syndrome

Asperger’s syndrome is named after Austrian pediatrician Hans Asperger who, in 1944, described children in his practice who lacked non-verbal communication skills, failed to demonstrate empathy with their peers, and were physically clumsy.
However, like in other forms of autism, people suffering from Asperger’s are known to display extraordinary mental abilities including feats of memory, arithmetic, and sometimes unusual abilities in art or music.
